From BNC file GVH: N.J. Gunn and S.H. Bailey, _The modern English
legal system_, Sweet & Maxwell Ltd, London, 1993.

00597 In the BNC file, the full stop after "holidays" was not split off it
as a separate word, and (doubtless connected to this in some way) the following
sentence-initial "Panel" was not capitalized. LUCY has normalized these
things.

00629 "is surprisingly" ought to be "are surprisingly", after "types", but
this is clearly the author's error rather than a misprint.

00640 "by fur the strongest" -> "by far the strongest"

00641 Again (cf. 00629), "was" ought to be "were" after "consequences"

00647 "has been" ought to be "have been", after a co-ordinate subject.
The incidence of failures of number agreement seems surprisingly high in
this text, even though each individual case is understandable in terms
of the wording in the local context of the verb.
