From BNC file FU1: Sue Sharpe, _Falling for love_, Virago Press Ltd,
London, 1987.

00274 BNC has "&quot" followed without a space by "cos". This is manifestly
intended as "'cos" for "because", written with an apostrophe to represent
the missing syllable.

00320-1 "by friends. or parents, and" -> "by friends, or parents, and"

00322, 00324 In both places, BNC treats a dash followed by a word
("getting", "like") as a single word. Presumably
this is because the original typography had a space before the dash but no
space after it. That seems unusual -- the normal alternatives are surely
for the dash to have spaces either both sides or neither side; but it
appears to be the consistent style in this publication, so although
the dash is put on a separate line in LUCY the following word is shown
with a plus-sign.

00333 "their parents consent" -> "their parents' consent"

00366 "go though a radical change" -> "go through a radical change"
